What is Volkswagen TSI?

If you have kept up with improvements to Volkswagen vehicles throughout the past few years, you have probably heard of Volkswagen TSI engines.  So, what is this Volkswagen TSI, exactly?  The least complicated answer is that it offers higher performance with less fuel consumption.  That’s great news as long as it is maintained.

You might wonder what TSI stands for (it seems like everything is an acronym these days).  It stands for “turbocharged straight injection” and was inspired by the technology of Volkswagen’s TDI Clean Diesel and FSI direct fuel injection engines.  The engine allows for higher torque at lower RPMs, which translates into more power with less fuel usage.

Keeping your Volkswagen in perfect working order is the job of The German Car Shoppe.  They are located at 5115 South Santa Fe Drive in suburban Littleton.  We have taken pride for many years at being the Denver area choice for quality, affordable, and reliable German Car repair.  Call ahead for an appointment for your VW at (303) 798-2287.
