Supersize my Brakes.

It almost sounds like an order at a fast food restaurant.  What it refers to is the braking system of the amazing Porsche.  If you own one you may or may not be aware that the manufacturer of this status vehicle super-sizes its brakes to adapt to the high-powered output of the Porsche engine.

What is the PCCB?  This acronym stands for Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake.  Your Macan model may be equipped with PCCB.  The cross-drilled ceramic brake discs have a diameter of 396 mm at the front axle and a thickness of 38 mm. At the rear, they are 370 mm in diameter and 30 mm thick.  The advantage is that the discs are half as light as standard discs.

The intricacies of the Porsche are such that only a trained mechanic should ever work on them.  When the braking system or any part of your Porsche needs repair or maintenance you turn to a Porsche pro.  In Denver, the answer is always the Porsche maintenance mechanics at The German Car Shoppe.  Where else would you go?  Call for an appointment at their Littleton Porsche service center (303) 798-2287.
