Knowledge is power.
Don’t let someone confuse you with mumbo-jumbo about the heating system
of your prized Porsche. The heat
exchanger temperature sensor automatically controls heat distribution into the
passenger compartment. In your Porsche
the sensor is installed inside the left heater duct next to the transmission.
On 1984 and 1985 models the sensor is found behind a trim
cover in the headliner between the sun visors.
If your Porsche was manufactured anytime after that the sensor is then
fitted in the dash behind the small grille.
I know, it’s minutia, but then isn’t everything about the care and
maintenance of your Porsche about attention to detail?
